Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2026

The short version

We sell you a phone. Once it's yours, it's yours. We can't access it, we can't monitor it, and we don't want to. We collect the bare minimum to ship your order and nothing more. Use it for legal purposes. That's it.

1. What we sell

null sells hardware devices pre-installed with open source software and provides access to private relay server infrastructure. We are not a communications provider. We do not operate a messaging platform. We do not transmit, store, or have access to any messages sent or received on your device.

2. Your device, your responsibility

Once your device ships, you have full and sole control over it. We cannot remotely access, monitor, wipe, or modify your device. We do not have your encryption keys, PINs, or any method of accessing your data. This is by design.

You are responsible for how you use the device. You agree to use it in compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction.

3. What we collect

To fulfill your order, we need a shipping address and payment information. That's it.

Order records are retained only as long as required for fulfillment and legal compliance, then deleted.

4. Relay server infrastructure

Your purchase includes 2 years of access to private messaging relay servers accessible only over Tor. These servers do not store message content, metadata, or user identities. They relay encrypted data and discard it. No logs are kept. Server access is not tied to any customer identity.

5. No warranties on privacy outcomes

We provide hardware and software tools designed to enhance your privacy. However, no device can guarantee absolute privacy in all circumstances. Your operational security practices, network environment, and behavior all affect your actual privacy. We provide an opsec guide to help, but ultimate responsibility is yours.

6. Returns and refunds

All sales are final. If your device arrives with a defect, contact us within 14 days and we will replace it. We will securely wipe or destroy any returned device.

7. Limitation of liability

null provides hardware and open source software. We are not liable for how the device is used, for any data loss (including from duress PIN activation or failed PIN attempts), or for any third party actions. Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of your device.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We don't have your email, so we can't notify you. Check back if you want.
